WEEKEND CONVERSATION:
Epitome of Sweetness: Oh my gosh, Mom, I can't believe how early these little boys get up on a weekend! They woke up at 5:08 this morning.
Me: I know. I haven't had one night since I got them that I've had enough sleep.
Epitome of Sweetness: How can you stand it?
Me: That's why I'm tired a lot of the time.
Epitome of Sweetness: You have GOT to get sleeping pills.
Me: For me, or for them?

Or earplugs. :)
little Caleb woke us up one weekend at 6 am - Kaleb had a talk with him and told him - if you wake up and it's still dark outside you have to either go back to bed or play quietly in your room until we come and get you - it doesn't work all the time but it has a few times - why DO kids wake up so early??
Epitome...or gags and handcuffs? JK
Amber...I've had that talk EVERY TIME they wake up early and they act each time like it is the first time they have ever heard it. And then they forget it.
Make their room darker. Get blackout curtains or put aluminum foil or paper or something on their windows. Then they won't know what time it is and think it is still night. :0)
No, it is dark at 5:08 a.m.. That doesn't help. I already tried putting a blanket over the curtain. Didn't help.
Now I bet you understand why our old neighbor cuffed her kid to the bed during naptime, don't you? :)
If you blacked out the room completely, it would help...
